Welcome to Vom Vrban Haus German Shepherds

We breed German Shepherd dogs to the SV (German) standard, and our goal is to produce German Shepherd puppies with great temperament, working ability, and sound structure.  Our puppies will grow up to be beautiful dogs that are capable of competing in Schutzhund and IPO, and work as police dogs, Search and Rescue, and therapy--but are ultimately the perfect family companions.

We only breed one litter per year on average.  We don't pride ourselves on producing a lot of dogs, but the quality of German Shepherds we do produce and their achievements.  We breed for trophies, not for profit.

Our first breeding produced Aqua and Amor who both placed on the podium at their first Sieger show.  This feat has taken even the most reputable breeders up to a decade (or longer) to achieve. Not only have we had success in the show ring, but our show line German Shepherds are known for their working abilities as well.

We achieved success through a lot of hard work and dedication, continuous education and of course a bit of luck.

Work and Dedication
• Attending and competing in numerous
    conformation shows and working trials
• USCA member in good standing since 2006
       - certified helper
• Cedar Hill Working Dog Club member since 2006
       - currently Vice President of the club and training helper
•  Working (on tracking, obedience and/or protection) with a                  dozen dogs per week (on average) for the last 5 years
•  Handling dogs in the show ring at a club, regional and
    national level with great results
•  Helped in the Sieger Show preparation of numerous dogs, including     VA3 Teela von Schneiden Fels and VA2 Jaro von Avenir, both of         which received awards for outstanding protection work



Education
• Extensively researching current bloodlines
• Attending seminars
• Observing what has and hasn't worked for other breeders
• Collaborating with some of the top breeders, trainers and judges
(this has been by far the most educational)



A Bit of Luck
 I was lucky to be introduced to some great breeders, trainers and competitors right from the start.  I also had the privilege to co-own a couple of great dogs, one of which is Whiski von Schneiden Fels, the foundation of our breeding program.
